Inspired by a Black-owned coffee shop in Atlanta and the magazine from “Living Single,” Shaunie Grigsby opened Flava Cafe in St. Paul in 2022. Her social enterprise serves lattes and breakfast bowls while giving Black girls and gender-expansive youth work experience, coaching and a place to grow.
